I have always loved grabbing the comics section from the Sunday paper ... I just used a Zits comic strip in my Friday post! I don't always blog on Sundays, buthere and there I try to spotlight some Sunday Fitness Funnies. This week, I thought I'd share a clip from the Colbert Report which touched on the Fitbit (you know I'm a fan!) and a new way to track your liquid calories ...
...I did not struggle with weight growing up, but after getting married and having five kids, I had moved solidly into the "overweight" population. In 2006 I was able to lose the extra pounds (50 of them) and get to goal. But staying there, that is another story. Slow but steady, the weight has crept back on over the years. Up and down, and up again ... it's a journey.

Running Addiction?
A while back, I thought I might do a weekly "Sunday Funnies" series ... but I've rarely gotten around to posting over the weekend. There is so much health and fitness humor out there, I should make an attempt again. I'm not committing to it, but here's one for this week anyway!
A public service announcement ... the dangers of distance running!
Are you in danger of addiction?
I am actually ok when it comes to distance running ... I think I only got a "runner's high" one time. I am addicted to exercise and my exercise endorphins though. And Zumba ... that might just be turning into an actual addiction. Hope you enjoyed the video.

Getting Back To Your Original Weight ...
I probably should have posted this last week for my Sunday Funny (as it was my birthday). I was 6 pounds 4 ounces when I was born... what was your original weight? This is a good reminder to keep your goals realistic. How did you determine your goal weight? My 135 goal is my pre-wedding weight, before five kids. While I did reach it back in 2006, I remember feeling good at 140 and 145 though too. Pretty much anything under 150 felt fine. I'm currently flirting with 150 ... just a few pounds to go.
